Thank you firstly and most
importantly to the people who voted for me. I am humbled by the trust you have
put in me and I will do my best you represent your views and those of all the
other residents before the decision makers in the Town Hall.
Thank you to Dot Sexton,
my Agent and team partner. Without her work I could not have successfully
completed the Campaign in line with what we set out to achieve.
Thank you to Paul Eccles
for his help with deliveries and his loan of the UKIPmobile and also
Berry Hargreaves and his son also for deliveries.
Thank you to my long
suffering wife Kathleen who has seen her house turned into a mess of paperwork.
One of the most memorable things of Thursday night & Friday morning was
seeing her excitement and that of my daughter Rebecca as the count proceeded.
With the help of all these
people, from a standing start, we have achieved 33% of the vote.
It is interesting to note
where the vote came from.
Now, the challenge and the
fun of the campaign is over and the serious stuff begins.
In future blogs I will be
laying out my approach to representing you all.
Thank you - Paul
